The Baybreeze

A lovely home and very clean. Loved that it was on the bay side and protected a bit from the sea breeze, yet had lovely views. The ramp to the house was nice for rolling luggage. You step over a threshold to get into both showers, so although the house is handicapped friendly, just be aware you have to step up and over to get into the showers and there is no bathtub if that is important to you. Only 2 blocks from the ocean and less crowded on the beach than it is when you get closer to Belmont Park. Just a block away there is a liquor store and market for anything you forget. Absolutely loved the house and location!

Every detail is so well taken care of, you walk in the door and feel right at home. And access to both the bay and the beach is fantastic. It's right there. It certainly was a great privilege to be able to stay here and we look forward to returning again soon. Thank you for being such a great hostess Cheryl!

A wonderful, clean property with a great bayfront location. Just a short walk to a small market and takeout Mexican food and pizza - great for lunch! Kitchen was well stocked with nice quality cookware and a gas cooktop. Large exterior deck overlooking the bay. The Pacific Ocean is just a few blocks west. Ideal for long walks and beach fun. A short drive to downtown San Diego, the zoo, La Jolla and more. We enjoyed our week at Baybreeze.

Everything was absolutely wonderful. 9 ladies stayed in the house/bungalow. We were all very comfortable. The space is spectacular, plenty of room for everyone! Well stocked kitchen, bathroom, cleaning supplies. Excellent communication before, during, and after the stay. No issues, no complaints. Beautifully decorated and of course fantastic location. We were all very impressed.. unanimously voted best beach house & weekend out of our annual 6 years in that area. Thank you!!

I'm not going to lie, I'm kinda a snobby traveler and I fell in love as soon as we walked in this house. I traveled with my 3 kids, mom and niece. They had all the freedom to walk the bay, and if they wanted to play in the waves they walked the short 2 blocks behind us to do so. The boardwalk takes you to Belmont Park where you can ride rides and play games. We ate dinner at cannonball with a beautiful sunset. The house view from inside were the best. Having an attached garage is an extra bonus!! Check the cupboards after arriving. We had plenty of paper plates, paper towels and cups provided so the ones we bought we left behind for the next family. My only complaint is i didnt stay long enough. My kids are already asking if we can stay again this summer and we justt left today. Thank you for sharing your house

Cheryl was very communicative. The place was lovely and the location is phenomenal, way better than the ocean-side. She went above and beyond to make our stay great.

Great location, no shampoo or conditioner though so keep that in mind prior to arriving. They were nice enough to let us check in early which was really nice! The airbnb is really beautiful, better than the photos posted!!

We had a very nice stay. The house was beautiful, roomy and clean. We were right on the bay and it was very enjoyable for our young grandchildren to play and swim on the beach without large waves knocking them down and such. We also had a great view of the nightly fireworks from Sea World.

We stayed for a full week with a family of 6. We have little kids and they loved this place, walking to the beach on either side was easy with the kids and gave them great spaces to play. This place is beautiful, actually a lot nicer than it looks in the pictures, which was a surprise. Everything was extremely clean. You are right at the bay side of the beach and the ocean side is also just a short walk. There's a really fun playground within walking distance. It's a busy area during the day with a lot of pedestrians but is very quiet at night. The roads are extremely narrow, as is the garage. We have a large SUV and we did fit it in the garage but you would want to be really good at getting your vehicle into narrow spaces. The back porch is really beautiful and we did see fireworks at Sea World every night with a perfect view. There are beach towels there and a few extra blankets. All you would need in terms of dishes is there, including tupperware and some storage bags, etc. Otherwise you need to bring everything else you would need. There is a washer/dryer there and they are not coin operated or anything. We found traffic to be really intense trying to get in and out of the peninsula so we tried to limit our trips, the store is close by in terms of miles but a long drive because of traffic so you may want to arrive with what food you want if you don't want to spend the time driving out and in over and over. We did not have any issues that we needed to contact the host about, but they were still responsive to any questions we had. The beds are quite comfortable, even the bunk beds had really high quality mattresses.

What an amazing week we had!! Comfortable beds, great deck and plenty of room for our family. The location is incredible and the bay is so family friendly! Having a garage and private driveway in Mission Beach is a huge plus!

Our family enjoyed the entire week a The Baybreeze! The home accommodated a family of 7 easily. The furnishing and kitchen set up were top notch. The view is priceless!

Absolutely gorgeous home in a superb location! Walk off the deck right onto the beach. The bay is calming and the sand so soft, perfect for taking the kids. 2 small blocks to the ocean side, and none of the beaches were crowded in this area because it's away from the main parking. The house was light and breezy and welcoming, beds comfortable. We cooked nearly all our meals in the kitchen, and if you're planning to do the same, just know that there are really no spices or anything in the cupboards. Recommend bringing some of your own beach towels to supplement the handful at the house. We had an incredible time and LOVED coming home to this beautiful house every evening, and we even could watch the fireworks over Sea World from the living room at night! If you're looking for the perfect beach house for a larger group, I highly recommend this one!

Great place for families. We would definitely stay here again. The rental had everything we needed. The location is perfect on the bay.
